Who Was on the Transport

This is a partial list of Jews on a Nazi transport from Medzilaborce 19 May 1942.


There is no question that Samuel and Hanny Baum are ours.

It seems likely that Moric Baum from Medzilaborce is their son and that Lenka, Ernest and Malvina are Moric' wife and children.  (It is not clear who Pepi is.)  Can we confirm this?

Sarolta Baum and Sara Baum of Vidrany must be clarified.  The birth years 1912 and 1902 are not familiar, but they may be reversed - 1920 and 1921.  In any case, we must clarify who are these two distinct women of the same family group.  See further analysis below.

It appears that the cards on the right refer to Sarlota on the transport list, the daughter of Samuel and Chana.

It also appears that the cards on the left refer to Sara on the transport list - but who is she and what happened to her??
