Date: Tue, 26 Jan 1999 06:23:54 +0200 This surprised me so much that I'm telling all of you right away. I'm preparing a web-site on Rozdol and in the course of that, Joe Cahn - a Rozdoler from Denver - mailed me a han-drawn map of Mt. Zion cemetery in Maspeth NY, which has a Rozdol section. The map is a handout from the cemetery, so I contacted them for permission to use it. I just got a new map from Marcie at the cemetery plus permission to use. She also sent me photocopies of cards for nine Pickhol(t)z burials, only one of whom looks even a little familiar at first blush. The addresses are different on each one, so we may not have more than one married couple. Marcie says that they may have next of kin for some (she'll check) and that the provide a photo service at five dollars a grave. Does someone want to spring for $45? (You can keep the original. I'll take a scan or a photocopy.) Pix should give father's name, at least. The nine names are: Anna, died 1951, age 65 (Skalat ref) Rose, died 1931, age 56 Barney, died 1940, age 69 (Skalat ref) Chana, died 1923, age 75 (Rymalower & Skalat refs) George, died 1943, age 42 (Stryj ref) Alta, died 1943, age 70 (Brisdowitz ref) Irving, died 1948, age 43 - Robert is this your uncle?? Fannie, died 1926, age 53 (Skalat ref) Nathan, died 1940, age 74 (Skalat) these last two are adjacent, so I assume they are a married couple. Have a nice day! And thanx go to Joe (who is getting a copy of this) and Marcie. Israel P. -- End --
